Currently the voting system is acting up all of the sudden for myself. I even made a post and the moment I did it was automatically downvoted to 0 within a picosecond. Or the subreddit is being trolled by the mods who are being lambasted and can't take criticism.

2022.01.27 20:16 throwaway1290875 Book about a woman who claims she is a girl who went missing years ago

It's a thriller that I read probably 5 years ago. I think it takes place in Australia but I'm not 100 percent sure. The main character in the beginning is being arrested and claims she is a girl who went missing when she was a kid and had amnesia all this time. The police bring her back to the town and her parents and twin brothers are thrilled to see her, but through the book you're left guessing if she's the real missing girl or a fake. It turns out that the twin brothers are actually sociopaths who killed their cat and tried to kill her all those years ago, which is why she ran away in the first place. I honestly can't remember if she ended up being the real girl or not, I just remember she left once she figured out who the brothers really were.

2022.01.27 20:16 Far-Ad-4340 Huje - a presentation (3.1 Basic syllables)

I showed you the glyph-roots in Huje, but now you would want to know how to form words out of it. And first, how to form syllables.
In the following posts, I will give a list of primary syllables made of a glyph-consonant-root and a vowel, for each consonant. It will always start giving sources for the glyph, as well as a little note on the glyph. Sometimes, the meaning for a glyph with an ending consonant will be added when it's one important and giving light on the meaning of the syllable.
The syllables for ã will sometimes be not included when it's not yet defined in my language, and the ones for o will never be included except where the meaning/use is rather clear and general. A "?" will indicate I'm not sure about a specific word/signification, although tbh this feeling is more universal than for just these ones.
Sources in my language come from Romance, Germanic, and Chinese. Unfortunately I wasn't able to gather more than that, because I don't know languages from other language families, and my researches weren't fruitful. That being said, I think some consonants can be associated to a certain extent with their meaning in a rather intuitive way, indepently of languages. For instance, I think "l" will intuitively be thought of as rather fluid, whereas "r", especially as an uvular fricative, will sound more harsh and fierce. Also, the "m" for "me" is very common, and for "mother" it's universal. - When a sound works in many languages of a same family, I try to just go with one. I didn't really try to include Portuguese or Romanian, and even less various members of the Germanic family, but many would work.
Sources - luna, moon, non, negro, monade, month, notte, néant, night, nü 女 , ling 零 , 阴 yin
The glyph represents the moon.
Na - Moon > Nas, Nam : night > Naf : month
Ne - nothingness, absence, shadow, obscurity...
Ni - feminine*
Nu - deny, delete, negate, replace...
- zero
* : I've kept changing ideas for which root to use for the feminine. This seems to be the best one due to its association with yin and moon. I just hope that it will not be seen as too assymetric and in favor of the masculine. In a taoist point of view it's rather equal, but in a common one it's less obvious.

Sources - me, moi, my (etc.), mama, mystery, mute, μῦ, intimate, 秘, 密, mammifère, mamal, 母 , 媽
The glyph represent the navel.
Ma - mother, mum
Me - personal, soul, personality
Mi - intimate, mysterious, mute
Mu - relationship, love, feel towards, join
- 1

Sources - baba 爸 , papa, protect, precioso, 寶/宝, baby, 苞, bud, bi, 保 , 把
The glyph was adapted from 巴 , even though it can be unobvious. I'm not really satisfied with it and I would like to change it for sth better. I'm also considering placing it on the left, but I would need then to have another one moved from the left to the top.
Ba - father
Bo - baby, something protected
Be - precious, treasure ?
Bi - precious ?
Bu - protect, act upon, change
- 2

Sources - close, block, country, ikke, Volk, knapp, claustrum, cluster, acute, 关, 国, 开
The glyph represents an acute angle, sth hard, closed.
Ka - country ?
Ko - a building?
Ke - closing? border?
Ki - different
Ku - close, block, protect
- 3

Sources - pousser, push, plant, 苞, bud, arbus, pace, peace, 平, apple, pomme, 苹, point, principle, humble, simple, spring, primavera, printemps, primus
The glyph is taken from the Chinese key for plants. It can represent a seed, sth growing through the soil.
Pa - forest, tree
Po - plant
Pe - vegetal? seed?
Pi - young, simple
Pu - grow, change
Pã - 4

(the d beginning, making it a rather unusual affricate, helps to distinguish it from the F. But if you have no problem uttering a v, then you don't really need to do that.)
Sources - wind, vent, 风, vitesse, velocidad, move, movimiento
The glyph represents the wind, blowing through the left (when I decided it would be used for the left - although I may change to make it represent the right).
Va - wind, sky
Ve - wind, air, move
Vi - masculine
Vu - blow, move, fly, speak

2022.01.27 20:16 StunningWasab1 worth it? (let me explain)

So, i've looked through the reddit and I DID see the many 'worth still playing' posts, and I also saw the Josh Strife Hayes video on it. Though, I have a different approach I guess. I always played VOID (the game in my country was absurdly predatory, thanks LUG) and the part that I most liked was getting to dress up in fun clothes without having to spend my own money; the fact that I could get nice gear was also pretty good, though. As well as the class advancements being free instead of mega grindy.
So what I want to know is. For someone whose focus is mostly PVE and looking cute, is it worth it?
