2022.01.27 21:26 critzvgc Forgot to file 1099-B, had a little bit of gains (~$5) - how screwed am I?
Hi, new filer here (18). Used Cash App taxes to file my taxes and forgot to add tax documents provided by Cash App and Stash for my trades. Did very minuscule trading, couple bucks here or there, probably less than $5 in gains in total. Since it’s such a small amount and 1099-Bs are already reported to the IRS, would I be in any trouble here? Or would I need to file a 1040X? Hoping they just automatically deduct the amount before I get my refund.

2022.01.27 21:26 mkonowaluk Cant get GNS3 or EVE-NG running while having WSL enabled
Im having a problem getting GNS3 started in workstation 16. Im hit with the error
```Virtualized Intel VT-x/EPT is not supported on this platform.
Continue without virtualized Intel VT-x/EPT?```
Even if I select yes, it wont start. I did some digging around and read about hyper-v being enabled in which I dont however I do have virtual platform enable because I use WSL on my windows machine. If I unistall that, I lose WSL but can start the VM in workstation. So im a bit conflicted. What can I do to fix this?
2022.01.27 21:26 skullcandy541 Get Trae Young’s 12th ass on the bench. Zach should be starting over him.
Even Harden should be imo. Winning should come into play when it comes to all star starters unless you’re putting up historic or much better numbers than the competition. Hairy lollipop man is not playing that much better than Zach or Harden. But they’re records are like night and day.
2022.01.27 21:26 apestilence1 I stopped prepping for a year after moving out to a rural area, this is what happened. (AMA)
I apologize for the click bait title it was the best I could come up with as I'm currently a bit I'll with a sinus infection. I'd like to format this a bit as an AMA but would also like to share my story, so I'll respond to anyone who comments assuming I'm not asleep. If I am, I'll get back to you in the morning.
Occasionally I come here and see posts explaining that since they started prepping their anxiety has gotten worse and the advice is always to take a bit of a break. This is not one of those stories. As I stopped prepping this last year I've been rather absent from this subreddit and haven't been actively prepping at all. I'd like to share my story and hear some feedback, comments, or thoughts from you all.
A little over a year ago, I moved from the greater Seattle area up in Washington to rural Southern Oregon onto a 20 acre property. Prepping up in Washington was very much focused on how to keep the lights on, how to keep the animals fed, and how to get anywhere in the awful traffic.
Once I moved down to Oregon... Well I became complacent. Backed up against the mountains I can go for hikes whenever I please and on 20 acres there is plenty to do. The house was in need of more TCL than originally thought so it needed to be torn down and rebuilt from scratch.
This along with an overall lack of money (cost of living is lower here but jobs pay much less, and 30% of your checks go to taxes as opposed to paying sales tax.) And being busy getting the farm into tip top shape over the last year took away a lot of my free time so I didn't have a lot of time to focus on actively prepping.
However there were a lot of changes to my lifestyle. I leave the farm to work but other than that I only leave if I have a reason.
Shopping is something done once every month or two, and large trips to Costco are done quarterly.
Started a garden a bit late but grew a number of pumpkins, zucchini, and other things. Learned a lot about farming and gardening, but had a lot of trouble with pests so I'll need to account for that this year.
Learned how to DIY a lot better. When the nearest store is 20 miles out you learn to use what you have on hand before making the trip.
Now that the house is nearly finished I have a lot more time to relax and slow down and take the time to write something like this
This is what I noticed about myself since I've stopped actively prepping.
My savings are nearly depleted - for a good portion of the year I've been out of work and constantly spending money on building a house so there isn't much I could do about that.
My mental state, depression, and anxiety have gotten worse since I've stopped actively prepping to the point where some days I haven't wanted to do anything, or have felt completely purposeless and lost as to what to do next.
I've gotten a bit chubbier around the middle. I haven't exactly had a scale to weigh myself on demand so I haven't been keeping up with my weight, though I'm still within healthy limits. This is definitely something I'll be focusing on this year now that the house is nearly finished and I have the time to focus on it.
I've been doing A LOT of reading. With no internet save from a Verizon hotspot device, and not knowing anybody in town, reading has become my go to for rest and relaxation. And I've gone through a frankly massive amount of reading material this year.
Standards of cleanliness have gone down. - I'm not sure this is so much because I don't want to clean, or just getting used to the fact that dirt is everywhere. Where I'm at now is a lot dryer than Washington so I'm getting used to the fact that indoor dust and dirt is a constant issue regardless of whether it's dry or muddy out.
This got a bit longer than I had intended it to be so I'll cut things off here. I'm looking forward to answering any questions ya'll might have. And looking forward to being a more active community member again.
