The thing is I’m kinda of bored lately and have this violent desire to socialize, but I’m really introverted. I’m about to have a long break before I start classes again so maybe I can add a couple new people to talk to right now, and maybe we can be good friends eventually, idk.
I could bore you with my list of interests, but I’ll just leave it at I like art and rock, and that we can talk about a wide range of things, including religion/politics and whatever else, and that would make me happy. Just note that I’m not looking to trade nudes or whatever. Be gone with that shit.
A little about me: I’m somewhere in the libright quadrant on the political compass, INTJ is my MBTI type, and I’m half black and half white if you’re curious. My time zone is EST and it would be nice if you’re not more than 8 away from me, and please be around my age :) If I don’t reply, my inbox probably got crowded, so my apologies lol. I realize this is a bit specific, but I have been driving myself nuts trying to find this puzzle.
For those in the know, Case 3 is the one with the gay bar. I have been told there is a puzzle that is very easy to miss. It apparently involves a speaker, but in my research, no-one says WHERE it is. If anyone can tell me at what point you come across it and where, it would be much appreciated.

The MCC19 Purple Penguins: An Analysis and a Guide to Victory The MCC19 Purple Penguins: An Analysis and a Guide to Victory
Hello, everyone! Welcome back to my analysis and guides to victory for every team. Here I go over every MCC team and analyze them, look at their players, their best games, and give tips on how I believe they can win.
There will be links to every guide down below as they come out, so if you wanna check a specific one out, you can go there!
With that, let’s get to the team!
The Purple Penguins consist of TapL, Seapeekay, Wisp, and Nihachu! They place 8th, with an average of 7,973. The place just above Mint, but below Cerulean. If we use “last event” scoring though, aka the method Scott uses, the team gets pushed down to 9th with a score of 7,003. This places them above Sapphire, but below Cerulean.
To explain this, let me get a little more into detail with each player.
Let me just say, this was possibly the most surprising team average I’ve seen while making these guides. I was genuinely expecting them to not just be higher, but within the top 5. This is a very strong team, but when you look at the players, you kinda get an idea why the statistics might be low. Going into this guide though, just know that the stats really don’t do this team justice.
Anyway, with that out of the way, let me get into the first player, TapL! Harvey is one of the most interesting cases we’ve seen in the event, but I’ll get to that in a bit. He last participated in MCC18 where he placed 17th with 2,192 coins. This was an underperformance for him… I think? To put it simply, TapL is incredibly inconsistent, either placing within the 20 to 15 range or the 6 to 2 range. The only time he placed in between was his first ever event where he placed 12th.
However, his average is still quite high. It sits at a nice 2,569. His Season 2 average is a little lower though, but not to a significant degree being 2,510. He also has an average placement this season of 13th place.
His best event was in MCC15 where he placed 2nd with 3,268 coins. This was the event that cemented TapL as an A+ player and one who is next in line for S-Tier.
So, to understand TapL, we need to break down why he places in the ranges he does. Specifically, why is he so inconsistently consistent? Well, his placements this season are as follows: 18th, 2nd, 15th, and 17th. That is… weirdly consistent while also being inconsistent at the same time.
The problems with his placements out of the top 10 can be pretty easily determined. In MCC14, he placed 18th because he was with two newcomers, the event was just starting back up, and the team wasn’t taking the event too seriously.
In MCC16, TapL just wasn’t doing very okay. It was clear that he was very shaken by the Techno news and if you watched his POV, you’ll see that it combined with the stress and pressure he was feeling severely impacted the way he played. He eventually found his footing later on, but it was only towards the end of the event.
Finally, in MCC17, his team kinda just had poor comms. This was most apparent in Build Mart, but I’ll get to that later.
So as you can see, none of this really has to do with TapL’s actual mechanical skill. Why? Well, because TapL is one of the best players in the entire event, both in terms of just pure skill as well as game sense.
TapL ranks, unsurprisingly, very high in Sky Battle, placing 4th in this event. That is incredibly impressive considering the competition. In my opinion, TapL also has the potential to straight up be the best in the entire event if he can consistently replicate his MCC15 performance. There, he really was able to shine as a leader and he was able to help his team really dominate.
He also does quite well in Battle Box, ranking 8th in this event. This is once again thanks to his very strong mechanical skill and game sense. He’s able to out-PvP most players and lead teams in this game very well.
Survival Games is a different story. There are times when Harvey has made it far into rounds, but he also has died fairly early or didn’t get a lot of kills. As a result, he ranks quite low in SG, but to be fair, he’s also shown an incredibly ability to do well in this game.
And I think there is one particular strength of TapL that seems to get overlooked. He’s a surprisingly strong leader, and in 2/3 times he’s placed out of the top 10 in Season 2, he was actively choosing not to lead, instead allowing Punz and Krtzyy to take that role.
He usually does quite well in movement games as well. He doesn’t rank super high in Hole in the Wall because in Season 1, he was honestly pretty mediocre at it, but now, he’s slowly climbing the ranks and becoming one of the better players in this game.
He ranks much better in TGTTOS though, as well as Parkour Tag and Ace Race to an extent. He places 4th in TGTTOS thanks to his incredible ability to bridge and maneuver around difficult environments. In Parkour Tag and Ace Race, he also ranks 7th and 10th respectively, cementing him as one of the best players in these games, at least for this event. TapL is usually able to consistently perform well in these games, allowing him to be a genuine threat.
Things do start to fall apart in team games though, and this is where I think TapL’s biggest weakness lies: communication. One primary example of this was MCC18’s Build Mart. There, he got so immensely tunnel visioned on his build that he completely forgot to actually communicate with his team. He got stuck with the first build because he couldn’t find the mistake initially, causing them to lose a lot of time, and when he got a gold build, he didn’t communicate that with his team. To be fair though… I don’t think he even realized he got a gold build.
Build Mart is definitely not his strongest games, but in all fairness, he has done well in the past. MCC16 is a great example of this. Now, he did have quite a strong Build Mart team in that event, but it’s worth noting.
Grid Runners is another fairly weak game for him. He has only played it twice, but his teams placed 6th and 7th. This obviously isn’t entirely Harvey’s fault since it’s very team-based, and I do think he is capable of doing this game well, but it is something to keep in mind since this is statistically one of his weaker games.
Finally, there’s Sands of Time, and I think this is his best team game by far. He’s a very competent runner and is actually quite good at communicating with his team here. He doesn’t rank very high, but this is far from a bad game for him.
As for the debate whether he should be next in line for S-Tier or not, I’ll just say what I've said before. Among the A+ Tiers (TapL, Krtzyy, Fundy, and arguably Antfrost), statistically, TapL is probably the furthest from S-Tier. By all logic, he shouldn’t be more suitable for the next S-Tier than say, Dave or Fundy, but for some reason, I just can’t see anyone else but TapL being next. He’s shown the highest highs among any non S-Tier, and I think with enough time, we’ll see him up there next.
As a whole, TapL is an incredibly player who’s really held back by his own inconsistency. He has an incredibly high skill ceiling and has proven himself to be one of the best players in the event. With him finally leading a team again, I’m very excited to see how he does.
The next player up is Mr. All Things MCC himself, Seapeekay! He has an average of 2,311 coins, but I think this is a bit lower than his more recent performances might indicate. His Season 2 average is 2,350 with an average placement of 16th place, but it’s important to note that this is kinda heavily dragged down by MCC18, his most recent performance and his worst event yet. He placed 23rd there, and while he did also place 23rd in MCC13, he only earned 1,846 coins, making this the only event ever where he’s scored below 2,000 coins. However, it is worth noting that his team not only played LAN, meaning that their comms and general playstyle weren’t going to be as good as normal, but they were also partially playing for fun.
This is honestly part of the reason why this team has a fairly large gap between their average and their last event score. Seapeekay and TapL, the two heavy hitter of this team statistically, both had pretty rough events in MCC18. As such, their last event score is kinda brought down, but as I’ve said, I don’t think this will be Seapeekay’s usual performance.
Without MCC18, his Season 2 stats would be a 2,518 coins average and an average placement of 10th place. That is a pretty massive difference and goes to show that MCC18 is not going to be his usual placement.
His best event was actually in the event right before 18 that he participated in. In MCC16, his team not only won the entire event, but Seapeekay placed 5th, earning 2,887 coins. Considering he was on a statistically weak team estimated to place 8th, this is a pretty massive improvement from him considering he averaged around 17th place beforehand.
As for how he performs in games, Seapeekay seems to be an all-rounder player. He’s absolutely capable of doing well in every single game, but he does better in certain games. This mostly comes down to his strategic mind. He is one of the players who understands the mechanics and strategies of MCC the most, and as such, he’s able to properly strategize with his teammates.
This is more apparent in Sky Battle where he came up with strategies in MCC16 alongside Dream. He’s also able to do quite well, being able to survive for long periods of time and net a couple of kills every event.
However, he is also a very competent player in his own right. Some of his best games are PvP games, with Callum doing quite well in Battle Box specifically. He’s gotten 1st individual in this game before and has even gotten an ace. He’s able to keep up with some of the stronger players mechanically while also playing very smart and communicating with his team well.
Survival Games isn’t the strongest game for Callum, but it isn’t necessarily terrible either. He isn’t really a standout player here, but he’s shown good decision making and an ability to really support stronger teams. He doesn’t always live towards the end, but he’s usually able to perform pretty decently here.
Movement is another very strong category for Seapeekay. Ace Race is one of his best games, with him being quite consistent in all three maps. TGTTOS is another quite good game for him, with him usually being able to finish in the top half, if not the top 10. Finally for movement games, Parkour Tag and Hole in the Wall are games where he doesn’t perform absolutely phenomenally, he still performs well enough to keep up with some of the competition.
Finally, there’s team games, and this is probably his weakest points. He is a very competent Sands of Time runner though, and this is probably his strongest team game. He’s usually able to assess risks well and make smart decisions, all while making sure the team is on top of things. He also does very well in knowing when the team needs to bank their coins versus when they need to play risky to reach the top.
Grid Runners and Build Mart aren’t very good games for him though, at least statistically. I say that because from All-Stars, we know he can do well in Grid Runners AND Build Mart, especially the former since he has already had a pretty rough history with Build Mart while Grid Runners has incredibly limited data. That being said, it’s pretty safe to say that he’d much prefer some of the other games over something like Build Mart.
As a whole though, Seapeekay has proven himself time and time again to be one of the better players in the event, arguably being a top 10 player. Alongside a strong player like TapL, I think Callum can do incredibly well.
The next player up is Wisp! He last participated in MCC18 where he placed 26th with 1,771 coins. This is a bit lower than his usual placement, but it is worth noting that the Red Ravens were a team that just didn’t do well in general.
He’s one of the players who I was genuinely surprised with the stats of, with him having an average of 1,937 coins. If we go off of skill alone, Wisp really does feel like a 2k average player, but the truth is that he doesn’t always perform well in MCC. His Season 2 stats are a 24th place average placement and an average coin count of 1,909 coins.
This is mostly dragged down by his MCC17 placement though where he placed 16th with 1,350 coins. That team in general underperformed heavily though, maybe more so than any other competitive team in MCC history. Without it, he’d have an overall coin average of 2,054, a Season 2 coin average of 2,095, and a Season 2 average placement of 20th place. So clearly, MCC17 dragged down his average by quite a bit.
His best event was in the ever so controversial MCC14 where he placed 12th with 2,447 coins. His team went on to beat the Blue Bats and win the first event of the season.
Wisp’s best games are absolutely PvP games, or at least Battle Box is. There is a genuine argument for Wisp being a top 5, if not a top 3 player in this game among the current set of active players. He has been a part of BOTH teams that went 9 for 9 while killing every single player, the Coral Carollers and the P21 Lime Llamas. This means he’s been a part of both teams that have netted the most amount of coins possible in a single game of Battle Box. His control over the center wool is genuinely pretty amazing. He also ranks quite high in this game overall, ranking 7th in this event, with him really not ranking higher just because he doesn’t usually get the most kills on his team.
He also does pretty decently in Sky Battle, but not amazingly. He hasn’t really had a stand out performance here, with his teams usually not doing so hot in general. This is a similar case with Survival Games where while he is quite good at PvP mechanically, his teams usually don’t survive the longest, leading to somewhat meh stats here.
Movement is also pretty strong for Wisp though, with his stand out game in this category absolutely being Parkour Tag. Wisp is one of the best players here, and I’m genuinely surprised he doesn’t rank too high in this event. He is an amazing hunter and runner, and he’s genuinely great at communicating with his team.
He also does pretty decently in TGTTOS, Hole in the Wall, and Ace Race, but he does sometimes struggle here. Nothing terrible at all, but also not towards the top. He usually places around the middle of the pack here.
Then there’s team games where he generally doesn’t perform very well. Grid Runners is statistically one of his worst games because he’s only played it twice, and both times his team didn’t do very well. His teams placed 8th and 9th in this game the two times he’s played it, but with how he’s able to communicate with his team, I do think he can achieve a good placement in this game. Build Mart also isn’t a very good game for him, with Wisp’s teams usually placing towards the bottom.
Sands of Time sort of turns things around, with Wisp being pretty decent at this game. Of course, there was the MCC17 Blue Bats fiasco with this game, but I don’t think he’s really bad at this game at all.
As a whole, Wisp has proven to be a very competent player who I genuinely think has some of the most potential in the tournament. He’s incredible at PvP while also being quite good at movement, and with some more practice and time, I wouldn’t be surprised if he broke top 10 sometime soon.
The final player is Niki! She last participated in MCC18 where she placed 40th with 1,194 coins. She has an overall average of 1,156 coins, with Season 2 stats of 1,257 coins and 37th place. Her best event came in her debut event, MCC10, where she placed 29th with 1,260 coins. Sadly, her team only placed 5th, but for her first event, that’s a pretty good placement!
Niki doesn’t really excel mechanically at MCC games, but she has another strength that seems to be severely overlooked. Her support is some of the best in the entire event, and I’d honestly put it up there with some of the best support players like Wilbur and Shubble. People tend to overlook her strength here because she doesn’t perform well individually, but by looking at past events, we really see how well she can do as a support player.
Prime examples of this are MCC12, 14, and 16 where she played incredible support and helped her teams do incredibly well. None of them made it to the finals, but they all either placed very high and did well in certain games (i.e. 14 Survival Games), or were very dominant until the end like with MCC16’s Lime Llamas.
This comes in full swing in team games where she’s usually able to support her team incredibly well. Grid Runners is a good game for her, despite her statistics not really showing that. Her stats really are dragged down by MCC17, but other times she’s played the game, she’s performed pretty well thanks to her strong comms. Rather, I think the problem she has with this game is sometimes figuring out how to accomplish the task quickly rather than actually communicating with her team and executing what is needed.
It’s a similar thing with Build Mart. Though she doesn’t always perform well in this game, with the right team and the right strategy, Niki is clearly able to do well here.
Sands of Time is actually quite good for her in my opinion. Despite some rough performances in some of the recent events, Niki is a very good sand keeper, making sure her team stays on top of things. Really, she’s only died because of really unfortunate accidents, like in MCC16, bringing her average down. She doesn’t usually collect a lot of coins just by virtue of her being a sand keeper, but as a whole, Niki is an incredibly strong support in this game.
Her support even comes in handy in a lot of the other categories of games. In particular, the PvP games are some of her strongest in terms of support. This was really seen in MCC14 and 16 where she was able to help her team perform exceptionally well in Survival Games and Sky Battle despite Niki herself not being great at PvP. This goes to show that you don’t need to be the best mechanically in order to succeed so long as you have good comms as Niki was even able to place top 5 in Survival Games in MCC14.
She doesn’t have quite as many stand out Battle Box performances, but it’s also worth noting that she rarely ever actually gets teams strong in this game.
Movement is one of her weaker games though, just by virtue of Niki really being a support player while these games are some of the most single player based games. In particular, Niki doesn’t do too hot in Ace Race and TGTTOS. She is capable of doing well in Parkour Tag and Hole in the Wall, but those are some of the more high paced games in the event, and she sometimes struggles to keep up.
That being said, Niki is a player who is pretty heavily underestimated because of her stats. Yes, she doesn’t perform very well individually, but she’s a very strong support. Honestly one of the events in the entire event. Still, even with her having placed 40th a few times, I don’t think she’s someone you should expect at the bottom that often. Her teams have either been hit with serious problems like MCC18, or have just generally underperformed like MCC11 and 17. On the right team, she has proven to do extremely well. With a strong set of players for her to work with, I think she can do very well in this event.
Game Rankings:
Next, we’re gonna take a look at how well this team does statistically in respect to the others! I’ll give a brief explanation of each game as well, indicating why the sats might show what they show.
Battle Box
This team managed to place 4th with 1,224 coins in Battle Box, largely thanks to TapL, Seapeekay, and Wisp doing quite well here. That being said, none of them have really great or outstanding stats here, and thus, place below teams like the Emerald Elves, while still placing above the Yellow Yetis.
Sky Battle
This team placed 6th here with 1,015 coins, largely thanks to only really TapL having outstanding stats here. That being said, he is a great leader in this game, so I don’t think they’ll do terribly here. They place above the Pink Presents, but below the Red Reindeer.
Survival Games
This team places 4th here with 1,028 coins, with Seapeekay kinda carrying this team’s average, ranking at 11th. That being said, TapL and Niki also place very close to each other within the top 20 of this event, keeping them in the top half. They place above the Pink Presents but below the Ginger Breadmen.
Ace Race
This team places 6th here with 962 coins, placing above the Pink Presents but below the Emerald Elves. With this event kinda being really stacked for Ace Race even with the exclusion of Fruit, Techno, and Illumina, this team sort of falls behind. With that being said, TapL and Seapeekay are really able to keep this team from hitting the bottom, keeping them just behind the top 5.
This is a very similar case, with this team placing 6th with 963 coins, only one coin off of their Ace Race lol. They place above the Ginger Breadmen but now find themselves below the Pink Presents. This is mostly because Seapeekay and TapL really bring up their score while Niki and Wisp have struggled with this game in the past. Not an absolutely terrible game for them, though.
Hole in the Wall
This team placed 8th here, earning 940 coins and placing below the Cerulean Candy Canes while placing above the Mint Mistletoes. This is largely because at best, this team’s players have decent Hole in the Wall scores. None of them truly excel in this game aside from arguably TapL who’s really held back by his earlier results. Admittedly, this team can get a much better placement than 8th, but it’s still not one of their best games.
Parkour Tag
This team’s best game is actually this one, Parkour Tag! They place 3rd here with 1,091 coins, putting them below the Teal Turkeys but above, surprisingly, the Emerald Elves! This is mostly thanks to TapL, Wisp, and Seapeekay really doing well in this game, and while Niki doesn’t do well here individually, she’s able to provide very strong comms, making this team incredibly scary.
Grid Runners
This team places quite low here, at 9th. This puts them above Sapphire but below Mint. Niki is the best performing member on this team, but every player here has had at least one bad Grid Runners.
Build Mart
This team places 8th here, earning 926 coins. They place below the Emerald Elves but above the Teal Turkeys. This is mostly thanks to this team really not having any good players in Build Mart, so they really fall behind. The only reason they don’t place lower are really just because the members of this team have succeeded in the past, while Teal and Sapphire have extremely limited successes in this game. This is one of their worst games for sure.
Sands of Time
This team also placed 8th here, but this is mostly dragged down by Niki and Wisp having a few bad events. This team isn’t actually that bad at Sands of Time and while they aren’t amazing, they’re still capable of doing well. That being said, with statistics in mind, this is one of their worst games.
If we take the average placement of this team across the games, they come out at 7th with an average placement of 6.2. That is 1 whole place above Mint and but 1.1 below Pin.
This team is looking to play Parkour Tag, Battle Box, and Survival Games later on as they place quite decently here. This is largely thanks to all four members doing well in at least one of the games here, with at least half of the team doing well in all three in general.
However, they’re also looking to have Grid Runners, Hole in the Wall, Build Mart, and Sands of Time played earlier. These are too statistically weak for them to really warrant playing later and should be tried to be skipped or played early.
As a whole, this team is a primary example of why stats don’t shouldn’t be the be-all-end-all of MCC. This team is much much stronger than their stats imply, and the numbers truly do not do them justice. This is secretly one of the stronger teams in the event and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw them place towards the top.
Thanks so much for reading! Please note that not everything I say is going to be 100% correct. While I do a lot of research for these posts, I’m inevitably going to get some information wrong. I simply do not have the time to watch the individual VODs of all four members on a team, but I try to take certain segments and analyze them as much as I can. If you see anything wrong, please feel free to let me know!

2021.12.05 17:18 Vegetable_Proposal_8 Best Apartment Buildings (multiple neighborhoods)?

I’ve lived in a mid rise in Wallingford for about a year now and am looking to move either to Roosevelt, Slu, Queen Anne or anything surrounding those (maybe close by others if they get good recs?) what buildings do you live in that you actually like and would recommend? Could be based on prices, layouts, nice management, easy application processes, safety, size, amenities, etc. This could apply to newer high rises or moderately older mid sized buildings as well. TIA!

2021.12.05 17:18 Usual_Huge Question About Neopronouns

Hello! Full disclosure I am a cis lady but I felt I should get an opinion from those who can give me a better perspective. Never been on this sub before but thought it might be a good place to ask, and apologies if it’s not. I don’t want to overstep, so if this is the wrong place to ask let me know.
I’ve just been thinking about neopronouns lately and other “non-typical” pronouns. Since I have a friend who uses “it/its” pronouns now and it makes me uncomfortable to use them, but I want to also be respectful. But at the same time, it feels disrespectful to refer to someone as “it” in the first place. So I struggle with that one.
But it also brings up a larger question about neopronouns as a whole. What are your thoughts and advice? I do think I would have trouble using the ones like xe/xer, etc. It would just be harder to remember and pronounce and I feel I’d slip up more.
And then the newest neopronouns being less related to gender. I’ve seen mew/mewself, pi/pika, etc. What are your thoughts on those? I’ve seen mixed feelings - either that they are valid or that they’re damaging to the larger trans community.
Just wanna hear your thoughts!

2021.12.05 17:18 truckguy13xlt New-to-me 2013 Lariat. Coming from an XLT this thing is loaded. Couple of questions: is there a setting I can change so that the mirrors fold automatically when I shut it off? Also, recommendations on an oil-less air filter would be appreciated. I was thinking AFE. TIA.
